About me

I grew up in Augusta, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia (BLA 1997, MMR 2000). I went to law school at the  American University Washington College of Law (JD 2005). I began law practice in Washington D.C. in 2006, and opened my bankruptcy practice in Decatur in 2008.

I am an active member of the legal community. I am a member of the DeKalb County Bar Association.  I am also proud to be a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.

I serve Atlanta and Athens area clients by delivering prudent legal advice and zealous representation about bankruptcy and debt.  I am a solo-practice attorney, and my practice is 100% focused on Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy.

I am a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.

Why Do I Practice Bankruptcy Law?

I am a committed consumer advocate–I went to law school to help people fight against the power imbalance between corporations and individuals.  I believe protecting the rights of individuals is a noble cause and the best way I can protect our Constitution and the laws of our country and state.   This is my career; I am not here to make a quick buck off of you during this time that our economy is on its knees.

There are many reasons why Atlantans find that they need the fresh start that bankruptcy discharge provides. Whether it’s because of the threat of foreclosure, lawsuits, mounting medical bills, job-loss, divorce, financial improvidence, or some other event, I am here to help you decide if bankruptcy is your best option to deal with debts and insolvency.
